TRICALCIUM CITRATE, commonly known as TCC is a tetrahydrate designed to function as a direct compression excipient. TCC is the most commonly used calcium salt and is produced in a unique production process which creates the special crystalline structure that is responsible for its outstanding characteristics, such as good flowability, and good tolerability, but most of all excellent compression properties. This is making it ideal for a direct compression excipient. By complete neutralization of non-GMO citric acid with a very pure calcium source (produced from limestone), TCC TB precipitates from solution to create its special crystalline structure. TB stands for excipient for tabletting and is suitable for pharma and food supplements.
