Diethylenetriamine is a colorless liquid with an ammonia-like odor. Being a versatile, single component product with low environmental impact and consistent and predictable reaction properties make this product ideal for a variety of applications. Diethylenetriamine is used as the building block for asphalt modification additives and manufacture of imidazoline-based corrosion inhibitors. Other applications include the collection of iron and other metals, anti-shrinking agent, fuel and lube oil additives, urethanes and surfactants.
