Dioctyl Maleate is a clear, virtually colorless liquid with an ester-like odor. It is a suitable intermediate for use in the production of paints and adhesives, copolymers and films. Dioctyl Maleate (DOM) can be used in organic synthesis, like the production of derivatives of succinic acid and is also used as a comonomer in vinyl and acrylic emulsion polymerization for paints and adhesives.
