Lexemul 561 from Inolex is classified as a fatty acid, glycerol ester, and glyceryl ester. It's appears white with creamy color flakes. It is a non-ionic modified self emulsifying glyceryl monostearate and is designed as a primary emulsifier for all types of o/w cream or lotion systems. Viscosity of emulsions made with it can be varied through the addition of bodying agents such as glyceryl stearate and fatty alcohols. Can form stable emulsions in the presence of high levels of electrolyte and in combination with other emulsifiers of any ionic type. Some widely used applications include antiperspirants, baby care products, bar soap, cleansing agents, cosmetic facial cleaner, make up removers, shampoo, and skin care products. Lexemul 561 has a social impact and environmental accreditation.
